Looking Ahead to December
Youth Sailing World Championships
Atlantic athletes will continue to represent Canada on the international stage in December at the 2025 Youth Sailing World Championships, taking place on December 19.
Four Nova Scotia sailors will compete at the event:
- Freida Smith – 29er Women
- Laura Eisenhauer – 29er Women
- Victoria Carroll – i420 Women
- Lorelai Freeman – i420 Women
The championships offer an important opportunity for these athletes to gain experience and compete against the world’s top youth sailors.
Para Hockey
Atlantic representation remains strong in Para Hockey as Gavin Baggs (NL) and Liam Hickey (NL) continue their season with Canada’s Para Hockey Men’s Team. Both athletes earned Silver at the Para Hockey World Cup earlier this fall and look ahead to a busy winter of international competition.
As 2025 draws to a close, Atlantic athletes continue to demonstrate excellence, resilience, and pride on the world stage — from youth development events to elite international competition.
